The Communications Department engages with Millcreek residents on many levels. The department liaisons with various volunteer groups and entities throughout the city, supporting and coordinating events such as the Venture Out! series. The Millcreek News newsletter, social media and other resident information efforts are developed, publicized in coordination with other city departments in public outreach efforts. Additionally, citizen requests or concerns are addressed as they come in through the website “Report a Concern” function, a phone call or visit to the city office. Applications for Special Events such as block parties, filming on public property or events requiring a road closure are additionally handled through this department.
