Millcreek started accepting building permits on March 1, 2018. Current applications/permits processed through Salt Lake County are now being transferred to Millcreek.

  • Commercial Alteration (Remodeling, Tenant Finish)
  • Commercial Re-Roof
  • Electrical (Added Circuits, Panel Upgrade, PV Solar Panels)
  • Fence (over 7 feet high)
  • Mechanical (Heating & Air Conditioning)
  • New Commercial
  • New Duplex
  • New Multi-Family (Three or more units)
  • New Residential
  • Plumbing (New Fixtures)
  • Residential Addition
  • Residential Alteration (Remodeling, Basement Finish)
  • Residential Re-Roof
  • Retaining Wall (Over 4 Feet High)
  • Sign
  • Swimming Pool (In-ground & Above Ground deeper than 24 inches)

Inspection requests must be received by 3 p.m. on the business day prior to the requested date of inspection. Timed inspections for concrete pours and utility service changes can be scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. This is only an inspection request; a confirmation of your inspection will be emailed to you.

No Permit Needed for the Following:

  • Accessory Structures less than 200 square feet
  • Fences less than 7 feet high
  • Retaining Walls less than 4 feet high
  • Sidewalks and Driveways (Private Property)
  • Painting, Papering, Tiling, Carpeting, Cabinets, Counter Tops, and similar finish work
  • Prefabricated Swimming Pools less than 24 inches deep
  • Swings and other playground equipment
  • Decks less than 200 square feet and less than 30 inches above grade
  • Miscellaneous Electrical, Plumbing, & Mechanical repairs and portable appliance replacements
