Public Hearing Notice

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Millcreek City Council will hold a public hearing at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018, at City Hall Annex, 3330 S. 1300 E., Millcreek, Utah to consider an appropriation of $45,000 to the Community Councils, $100,000 for events (Utah Venture Outdoors, Millfreaks, & Millcreek Community Theater), $5,000 for the Rain Barrel Program, and $3,500 to the Millcreek Arts Council. Pursuant to the requirement of Utah Code Ann. §10-2-8 a study regarding the appropriations was performed and is available for review by interested parties at City Hall at 3330 S. 1300 E. Millcreek, Utah during regular business hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Following the public hearing, the City Council may adopt an ordinance/resolution authorizing the appropriation. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodation during the public hearing should notify the City Recorder at 801-214-2601 two days prior to the meeting date.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE
CITY OF MILLCREEK

The CITY OF MILLCREEK is proposing to increase its property tax revenue.
– The CITY OF MILLCREEK tax on a $395,145 residence would increase from $13.47 to $437.18, which is $423.71 per year.
– The CITY OF MILLCREEK tax on a $395,145 business would increase from $24.50 to $794.87, which is $770.37 per year.
– If the proposed budget is approved, CITY OF MILLCREEK would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 3,153.32% above last year’s property tax budgeted revenue excluding new growth.

All concerned citizens are invited to a public hearing on the tax increase.

Notice is hereby given that Millcreek City Council will hold two public hearings at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2018, in the Millcreek Council Chambers Annex, 3330 S. 1300 E., Millcreek, Utah, 1) to consider adoption of a parks, recreation, trails and open space impact fee facilities plan; and 2) to consider adoption of a parks, recreation, trails and open space impact fee analysis. Pursuant to the requirement of Utah Code Ann. §11-36a-101 et seq. copies of the plans, together with summaries designed to be understood by a lay person, are available for review by interested parties at City Hall at 3330 S. 1300 E., Millcreek, Utah during regular business hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Also copies of the plans and summaries are available for public review at each library located within Millcreek. Following the public hearings, the City Council may adopt ordinances approving the plans.
